This renovation reimagines a traditional Toronto home into a light-filled, contemporary dwelling with a Scandinavian sensibility. The design balances openness and intimacy: a central double-height fireplace anchors the living space, while skylights and expansive glazing invite daylight deep into the plan. The kitchen and dining areas extend seamlessly toward the backyard, creating a natural flow for both everyday life and gatherings. Clean lines, warm wood finishes, and sculptural stairs echo Scandinavian design principles—simple, functional, and human-centered—transforming the house into a home that feels both grounded and inspiring.
